Epilogue

"Stop being so jumpy! You will start making people think you are getting cold feet!" Marius said with a chuckle as he helped Erik with his bow tie. "What has you so jumpy on the most important day of your life?"

Erik softly chuckled at Marius's question. "I cannot help it," he said before he slipped on his suit's jacket. "It feels like this day is all a dream and if I hear any sound I fear that I will wake up," he said explaining. "I have been dreaming of having a wife and walking with her on Sundays," he said with a smile. "And of course of having children with her," he added before he smirked at his words.

"Well you already have a child with your bride," Marius said as he slipped on his own suit jacket. "So all you need after today is to take walks on Sundays with her," he added with a smirk. "That is if Christine doesn't mind."

Erik chuckled at that. "I don't think she will mind," he said as he looked at himself in the mirror. When he told Christine of his desire to marry Kat and asking for her blessing, when Kat was still unconscious. He was worried about Christine's reaction to his question. But he was surprised when Christine not only gave her blessing, but also her best wishes of him living a happy and loving life with her twin sister.

"You not only brought my beloved sister back to me, but also killed the very monster that took her and poisoned her mind when she was alone and vulnerable," she said to him. "And that has redeemed you in my eyes," she said before she gave him a look that only a protective sister could muster. "But if I hear anything that indicates that you are hurting or betraying my sister in any form, be prepared to face my wrath," she said in a threatening tone. Erik had then told her that she would have to wait after all of the freaks and the entire gypsy clan had gotten to him first. Christine had laughed at that, having then remembered that Kat was precious to more then just her and Gustave. "I guess that would leave you being either called brave or foolish," she said to him. "But then love can make you act that way."

Erik couldn't agree more with that. He was then brought out of his thoughts when there was a knock at the door.

"Ten minutes till the ceremony starts sir," Dr. Gangle said peeking his head into the room. "Everyone has arrived and are seated," he added holding the door as he stood half way into the room, showing that he was dressed in his groomsman tux. It was obvious that the master of ceremonies was having a hard time being in an ordinary tuxedo over his over the top circus tux he usually wears.

Erik smiled at Dr. Gangle, appreciating the man's efforts with the tux. "How are the guests faring? No complaints about the seating arrangements?" he asked. "And I trust that the press has a good view? They can't get a better view then the balcony," he added.

Dr. Gangle chuckled. "No, sir. There are no complaints," he answered. "Just a few reporters trying to sneak in and get a picture of the bride," he added with a teasing smirk. "I guess some of them have the foolish idea that the Bride or Groom are getting cold feet and might not arrive at the wedding alter," he said with a humorous smile on his face. "I know the maid of honor is having a hard time on keeping the bride from sneaking a peek at the Groom," he said with a smirk towards Erik.

Erik blushed as he heard that. "How is my bride?" he asked softly. "Is she well?"

Dr. Gangle smiled at the sight of Erik blushing. "The bride IS well, sir. Just excited and eager to become your wife," he answered.

Erik's heart jumped as he heard those words. The nervousness he had felt moments ago slowly became taken over with joy. "I am as excited and as eager as she," he said before he looked to his other groomsmen. "Are you all ready gentlemen?" he asked before he noticed someone was missing. "Where is Gustave?" he said looking around for his son.

"I am here father!" Gustave said as he peeked in the room from behind Dr. Gangle. "I just went to see mother," he explained. "And father, she looks beautiful! You won't believe your eyes when once you see her!" he said as he ran to Erik excited. "She is practically glowing!" he added.

Erik chuckled at his son's excitement. "I have no doubt that she is." he said with a knowing smile. Erik then leaned towards his son. "Do you have the rings?" he asked for Gustave was the chosen ring bearer.

Gustave shook his head up and down before he pulled the two wedding rings out of his suit's jacket pocket. "Kept them with me at all times as you said I should," he said as he put the rings back in his pocket.

Erik smiled again. "Yes I did. Because if those rings were lost, your mother and I wouldn't be able to be married," he said explaining the importance of the rings. "And lady Susanna wouldn't ever forgive us if we lost her wedding present to us," he added with a chuckle. Gustave nodded his head in agreement to that before the sound of the clock in the room struck the hour of the wedding. "It's time. Let's get to the alter before those reporters get the notion that Kathleen and I eloped," Erik said to his groomsmen before they went to the alter.

Erik felt his heart beating like a drum as he stood there, waiting eagerly to see Kat. And as he saw Gustave come down the isle as the ring bearer, followed after by the brides maids he felt his heart beat faster and faster. He smiled as he saw Christine and Meg walk together down the isle as both of them were the maids of honor. Kathleen couldn't decide which one should be THE maid of honor so she chose to have both of them since they both were special to her. Erik had no problem with that since he too couldn't decide which woman was to be maid of honor.

His thoughts were then interrupted as the church went dead silent and the church organ began to play the wedding march. And when he saw Kat walk slowly down the isle with Annibal escorting her he felt the whole room melt away. Kat was the only thing he could see.

Kat had felt as if the whole world vanished from her sight as she gazed at Erik. He was the handsomest man she had ever seen, and more so today on their wedding day. She had feared that her bridal gown didn't make her beautiful enough for him, but from the look on his face she knew then that her fears were nothing to worry about.

'She looks so beautiful!' Erik thought as she got closer to the alter. 'I truly am the luckiest man on Earth,' he added before Annibal had stopped her before the alter. The Gypsy King kissed Kat on the cheek before giving Kat to Erik as part of the ceremony. Soon then the priest began, saying a romantic speech of the love Kat and Erik found in each other and their love going onto forever. The priest had then asked the question: "If there is anyone that believes these two should have no right to join in holy matrimony, please speak now or forever hold your piece." Which to no surprise no one spoke, so the priest continued on with the ceremony. Erik couldn't stop looking upon Kat's beautiful face, over joyed that she was unmasked. And he couldn't help but smile as he slipped on her ring and repeated the words the priest said to him.

Kat was having a hard time holding in her tears as Erik slipped the ring on her finger. She couldn't stop her hands from shaking as she slipped his ring on his finger, repeating what the priest said told her. She felt her heart then leap for joy as Erik laced his hands with hers, knowing fully well that his bride was trying to contain her happiness.

She wasn't the only one as the priest asked him if he would take Kathleen to be his lawfully wedded wife in sickness and in health till death do they part as long as they both shall live. "I do," Erik said as he looked into Kat's eyes. Kat's hands tightened around his hands as she heard Erik say 'I do'.

"Do you Kathleen, take this Erik to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold in sickness and in health, till Death do you part as long as you both shall live?" the priest asked her. Kat then looked into Erik's eyes and gave him the most loving smile before she said her answer. "I do," she replied. To which the priest then pronounced them as husband and wife, giving Erik permission that Erik may kiss his bride. As Erik unveiled her, Kat surprised him as she took off his half mask looking at him lovingly she handed the mask for Gustave to hold before she cupped Erik's face and kissed him. Showing him and the world that she truly loved him, even his disfigured face. Erik felt pure joy as he cupped the back of her head and kissed her back passionately.

"Hey! Save some of that for the honeymoon you two!" Marius said teasingly, causing Kat and Erik to break from their kiss. He laughed as he saw the newly weds blush.

Erik then smiled down at Kat before they both walked down the isle together as man and wife. Gustave then followed after them handing Erik back his mask. "So are we a family now? We don't need to hide anymore?" he asked as he looked up at his parents. Erik smiled down as he put on his mask. "No, Gustave there is no need."

Gustave then smiled happily as he then hugged both of his parents. Kat smiled at her son before she looked towards Erik. She wondered how he will react to her little surprise that she planned on telling him later. "All right, you two," she said with a giggle in her voice. "We best get to the party before people noticed we are missing."

Erik and Gustave looked at her with a smile before they nodded their heads in agreement and left the Church to the carriage that was outside waiting for them. It was one of Erik's special carriages that he designed for tourists. This particular one was one that he made in case there were some tourists that possibly might want to get married on Coney Island, so he decided to use it for his own wedding making him and Kat be the first newly married couple to ride in it.

Erik helped Gustave and Kat into the carriage before he got in sitting beside Kat. The carriage driver then guided the horses to drive the carriage away from the church to the Coney Island park where the wedding reception was to take place. Erik and Kat waved happily to the people of the park as they carriage made its way to the big top tent where the wedding reception was.

Later that night.....

Kat smiled happily as she snuggled to Erik's body. Enjoying the happy bliss of being Erik's wife and also having just consummated the marriage moments ago. She then looked up at him, her husband. Husband...She already enjoyed calling him that. "Are you happy my husband?" she asked him as she gently caressed the disfigured side of his face.

Erik smiled at her calling him 'husband'. It was as the Americans' would say 'music to his ears'. He looked down at her with a loving expression in his eyes. "How can I not my beloved wife?" he said before he gently pecked her lips sweetly. "I am married to the woman who stole my heart," he said before slowly wrapping his arms around her. "And now that there is no longer a monster hunting her down, I am free to love her as she loves me," he added before he pecked her lips again. "Free to spend the rest of our lives together," he said as he held her against him, feeling the singing in his veins come alive within him. "Happily in love and raising our son."

Kat smiled at Erik's words. "Yes we will," she said to him. "And it is a good thing that monster is gone, for it would be difficult to hide both of our children."

Erik froze at her words. He slowly pulled away and looked at her directly into her eyes. "What did you say?" he asked her breathlessly. "Kathleen, are you telling me that you are...?" he added dying to hear her answer. "That we..." he said before Kat smiled up at him and touched her fingers to his lips.

"Yes," she said. "Our son is going to have a baby brother or sister in a few months," she added before pecking his lips softly. But she was suddenly surprised as Erik pinned her under him and kissing her passionately.

"My beloved wife you truly are an angel," he said softly against her lips. "Making me the happiest and luckiest man on Earth...I promise to make you as happy as you've made me for the rest of our lives and love you with every fiber of my being," he said before he kissed her and slowly made love to her again. Sealing the promise with kisses filled with joy and love that they would fill for the rest of their live.

THE END.
Here is the final chapter and the end of Angel of Coney island.

I have loved working on this fan fic over the past TEN YEARS. (Insert the 'ten years old' pun from Phantom Reviewer) But I must finish this story and regretfully move on to writing more stories.

I hope you all enjoyed this fan fic that I poured my phantom phan girl heart into making a sequel that a beloved musical deserved.
But hey! That doesn't mean I have given up on my love for our beloved opera ghost! He will always be there singing songs in my head from time to time, and always sweeping me off my feet as only the phantom of the opera can do.

Here is a bit of info on this ending:

Kat's wedding dress that I picked out: scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/h…

And I had wanted to have Kat give him the most romantic and touching way for Kat to prove to Erik that she really does love him, and the thought of her taking off his mask and kissing or hugging him lovingly in front of a crowd of people that might be shunned by his face was something that kept popping into my mind in the early days of my early phantom of the opera phandom since I saw the failed unmasking scene at the end in the 2004 movie version. So I hope you all love what I had Kat did at their wedding.

Also, who doesn't think Erik would get pre-wedding jitters? ^^

And I HAD to give Erik a second chance of becoming a father and enjoying the happy memories that he never got to share with Kat when she had Gustave. Hope you guys like that!

So I will end this wonderful story to your guys's comments and replies.
And I hope you all will continue to watch me and continue reading the stories I share with all of you in the near future.

This is a fan fiction purely made out of love for the original source material, and for fans of the same subject to enjoy~
